6th Atlasz LGBT Day of Sports

Atlasz Sport Club and FRIGO organize the traditional Day of Sport for the LGBT community for the 6th time on the 23th of January in 2010 (Saturday). It is worth to start the new year with a little movement!

During Christmas and New Year's Eve visiting relatives and friends everywhere multidish lunches and dinners. And in the evening a little Christmas fondandts to make the whole thing complete. We eat the remainders for weeks. The snow is falling or it rains and it is dark out there. All we can do is to watch TV or surf the Web. Although we vowed in last year that it won't happen in the next year we feel again: too many meals, sweeties and zero moving. Is it familiar? We invite you to our Day of Sport in January! Let's move! Join to your favorite sport, try others, take part in the funny relay contests or just come and get know new people!

Depending on your mood you will have the opportunity to do sport seriously or just to have fun. You can participate in same sex dancing. The sessions of Atlasz SC and other LGBT sport groups in Hungary will introduce themself. We are awaiting those LGBT athletes and sport teams who want to show themself to a greater public.

The topic of our current Day of Sport event is the EuroGames 2012, for which many thousands of athletes are awaited to Budapest in the Summer of 2012.

The avenue is the ordinary: the sport facility (gymnasium and swimming-pool) of the former College of Administration in Mányoki út. The programme starts at 12:00. The entrance fee is 300 HUF (for the members of Atlasz the entry is free). We close the facility at 18:00 and after a little break we continue at 22:00 with the evening party at GLAM (to where the entry is free showing your Day of Sport badge).

• 12:15 - Badminton
• 12:50 - Opening speech
• 13:00 - Funny relay contests I.
• 14:00 - Chicken's Basketball
• 14:30 - Swimming
• 15:00 - Handball
• 15:45 - Funny relay contests II.
• 16:45 - Volleyball
• 17:15 - Dance show and lessons
• 22:00 - Start of the official party at GLAM
• 22:30 - Welcome and award giving ceremony

(Change: Volleyball has been moved from before Funny relay contests I. to after Funny relay contests II.! And as such it begins at 16:45 instead 13:00. This also means that the relays and all other sports between them start 30 minutes sooner!)

During the event you can climb the wall or play chess. In case you feel tired try the massage! In case you feel hungry or thirsty visit the buffet!
