The Fitness section of our club was created in the spring of 2016 by adapting the former Aerobics section. The changes can be seen in many areas. The most obvious change is to the contents of the training sessions. Not only has the structure of the training classes changed, the variety and number of available activities has been greatly expanded.
The classes usually follow the principles of a functional training session. They are less intensive than classical aerobics (though they are demanding) and more focused on developing strength and stamina. The focus is to strengthen your body, improve your stamina and prepare you to handle the everyday stresses of work, sports, or physical labour. Sessions can range from low to high intensity, roughly corresponding to the training levels of beginner and advanced athletes. In our training sessions we select exercises of various intensity, and align them with the fitness levels of the participants.
We modified the original Aerobics training sessions, added new elements of classical aerobics, and merged them with functional training exercises, to create one long training session to build stamina and fitness. The result is a fairly demanding series of exercises, so it is recommended only for those serious about fitness. These training sessions are held once every 4-6 weeks on a pre-announced date.
Once a month, on a Monday, a training session is dedicated solely to stretching. So, for one full hour we do nothing but stretching exercises. Most athletes, no matter what sports they do, tend to neglect proper stretching at the end of a training session, even though it is one of the most important parts of any workout. For this reason, we wholeheartedly recommend this one hour training session to anyone who feels the need to do a thorough stretching occasionally, no matter what sports they do.
Finally, one more innovation has been added: dietetic advice. Occasionally, we set aside 10-20 minutes at the end of a training session to discuss diet - what to eat and what not to eat, depending on whether you want to bulk up, lose weight, or just explore new dietary alternatives, etc.
We also provide opportunities for tailor-made training consultancy. In the consultation sessions with the athlete we discuss basic goals, answer questions, and formulate the best training and nutrition program for the individual.
If you have any questions about the Fitness section, the training sessions or anything written above, please contact us through the link below; our trainers will be delighted to respond.
The training sessions are held on Mondays, between 20:00 and 21:00 in the Tánctemplom. We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes before the training session to have sufficient time to change and get ready.
The first  session is free for anyone interested! After that, each 60 min training session costs 1,000 HUF for Atlasz club members, and 1,200 HUF for non-members.
For full-time students and for our pensioner athletes, we provide further benefits through the Atlasz Members’s  Card system.
